Description:

We are seeking an innovative and organized individual to support the Head of AI. This role is pivotal in managing the AI program that spans all technology teams at the firm. The AI program is a federated set of projects across different Technology teams, with the Central AI team playing a key role in establishing the target state and coordinating efforts across all teams to maximize the value from the overall AI investment.

You will oversee budgeting and administrative management for the Central AI team and lead AI program governance. Additionally, you will support the Head of AI in building a medium-term strategy for the company's AI initiatives and help establish a communication approach for the AI strategy. This position offers the opportunity to influence across peer organizations and manage complex technological changes, making a significant impact on our AI initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategic Support

  • Develop a medium-term strategy for our AI initiatives in collaboration with the Head of AI.
  • Establish a communication approach for the AI strategy to ensure clarity and alignment across the organization.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive program success and engagement.
  • Create an ongoing engagement strategy to keep the profile of the AI program high across the organization.

Program Management

  • Lead the overall AI program management, establishing and guiding program governance.
  • Develop and implement project management frameworks and tracking systems.
  • Coordinate with various tech teams to ensure cohesive execution of federated AI initiatives.
  • Identify performance and success metrics to assess the ROI of all AI initiatives.
  • Implement mechanisms for performance monitoring and optimization of AI solutions.

Business Management

  • Oversee budgeting and administrative management for the Central AI team.
  • Consolidate ongoing investment requests to support the overall AI agenda.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors or partners providing AI technologies or services.

Architectural Governance

  • Coordinate the establishment of architectural governance to support all teams participating in the AI program.
  • Facilitate the development and enforcement of standards and best practices for AI architecture.
  • Collaborate with AI leads across teams to establish the architectural framework and standards, ensuring alignment and integrity across projects.
  • Ensure data governance practices are followed, maintaining data quality and compliance standards.

Influence and Collaboration

  • Influence across peer organizations through persuasion rather than authority.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI and technology trends to effectively guide the program.

Risk Management and Compliance and Legal

  • Understand tech risk management and compliance to bridge the AI program with all compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that all AI initiatives adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to address any potential issues.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Proven experience in business management, preferably in a technology or AI-focused environment.
  • Strong program and project management skills with a track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in establishing and leading governance frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and foster collaborative relationships.
  • High degree of tech literacy and understanding of managing complex technological changes.
  • Understanding of tech risk management and compliance.
  • Familiarity and Interest with AI technologies and methodologies, with the ability to interface effectively with technical teams.
  • Experience with data governance and ensuring data quality and compliance.
