Our division seeks a Network Engineer to join a successful and growing team.  This person will build and maintain our declaratively configured network infrastructure, ensuring consistency which is critical to the success of the business.

The Network Engineer will collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers in both the U.S. and the U.K.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Delivering colocation sites with fast connections to exchanges.
• Optimizing the network receive path for Linux trading hosts.
• Delivering robust and reliable cloud setups for quantitative research

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Expertise in Linux
• 4+ years of experience managing common network devices, preferably Arista
• Success designing large-scale networks, preferably in financial exchange colocation environments
• Familiarity with all of the following: 1) AWS, 2) packet capture and analysis tools like tcpdump and wireshark, and 3) at least one programming language (preferably Python) for basic network analyses and testing
• Availability for on-call and weekend work
• Track record of collaboration with application developers (with experience working with financial professionals a plus)
