This is a Data Engineer role for an investment management firm in NYC. You will be a part of a front-office technology team that plays an essential role in connecting the investment side of the firm to the software engineering side. Your focus will be on the data tools and systems of this team, including the design of a data warehouse, BI, data visualization, dashboarding, and analytics. The team is targeting candidates with languages like Python, SQL, and Javascript, and emphasis will be put on those who also have financial experience in areas like fixed income, loan and structured finance, or asset management.

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in Python, SQL, and/or Javascript

- Financial domain experience in areas like structured finance, asset management, whole loans, and fixed income (sell side ideally)

- Analytics and insights driven background, with experience in Business intelligence, dashboarding, and data visualization with tools like Tableau

- Quantitative-side experience with packages like Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy is a plus

- AWS experience is a plus

- Datawarehousing with Snowflake is a plus
